Baker College

Baker, a private college with a campus in Macomb County, offers more than 140 master’s degree, bachelor degree, associates degree and certificate programs in a variety of disciplines including business administration, computer information systems, health sciences, human services, office management, teaching, engineering and technical studies. Saginaw Valley State University's Regional Education Center

Saginaw Valley State University's Macomb Regional Education Center (REC) offers outstanding, affordable graduate education programs designed to meet the needs of teachers and educators in the region.  The REC is located in Chesterfield Township just off N. Gratiot Road at 30330 Hickey Road.  Programs offered include:  Accelerated Certification Education (ACE) and subject area and grade level endorsements in Early Childhood, Special Education (Cognitive Impairments, Emotional Impairments, Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder).  Master’s programs include Early Childhood, Special Education, Reading, Instructional Technology, E-Learning, Educational Leadership, and Classroom Teaching (Elementary, Middle, and Secondary).  Post-master’s programs consist of Education Specialist, Special Education Supervisor and Director.  Classes are offered throughout the year with evening, online and flexible spring and summer schedules.  Additional Off-campus Programs are available in Oakland and St. Clair Counties.  Saginaw Valley State University is fully accredited by the National Council for Accredited of Teacher Education (NCATE) and fully approved as a Teacher Preparation Institution by Michigan Department of Education.  For more information or to schedule an advising appointment call (586) 749-0067.
